Tigre Tierra® reusable steel casing from Aardvark speeds up drilling in even the most difficult formations. Flush rope threads provide exceptionally fast connections and eliminate welding and cutting.

Designed to withstand the high driving energy of our Tigre Tierra casing drivers, the casing's heat-treated alloy steel allows repeated use of the same casing string. The rope thread drive shoes also are designed for rugged duty. Machined from heat-treated alloy steel and provided with a chamfered cutting edge, the shoe can be used again and again in tough formations.

Flush ODs reduce friction during driving and withdrawal, while flush ID's allow the use of full size bits and sampling tools.

All this strength and versatility add up to faster drilling—especially in situations that require more sophisticated drilling methods. For example, many of today's projects exclude the use of stabilizing muds that could contaminate water samples. Instead, air drilling with casing drivers is used to obtain interval and continuous samples in caving formations. Combining Tigre Tierra rope thread with a casing driver allows low-cost PVC casing and screen to be set inside the steel string. At completion, the steel casing is pulled out for reuse.
